Vegetarian Black Bean Chili Mix 🫘

A hearty, protein-packed blend of black beans and smoky spices that delivers a robust, soul-warming chili without the meat.

Standard Preparation (From the Label)

Simple steps to create a thick and satisfying vegetarian chili in one pot.

  • You will need:

    • 1 package Vegetarian Black Bean Chili mix

    • 1 Tbsp olive oil

    • 2 tsp salt (divided)

    • Water

    Cooking Instructions:

    1. Remove the inner packets from the package and rinse the beans thoroughly.

    2. In a large soup pot, combine the beans, included seasonings, and 1 Tbsp of olive oil.

    3. Cover the beans with 2 inches of water.

    4. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for about 2 hours until the beans are very soft. Add water as needed to keep beans from sticking; ensure some liquid remains when finished.

    5. To cook the rice: Bring 3 cups of water and 1 tsp of salt to a boil. Add the rice, lower heat to low, cover, and steam for 20 minutes.

    6. To serve: Place about half a cup of cooked rice in a bowl and top with the savory beans.

Ingredients: Dried black beans, white rice, dried minced onion, dried minced garlic, oregano, salt, cayenne pepper.

    Allergens: None.

Chef’s Note

"For a richer, smokier flavor, try adding a small can of diced green chiles or a teaspoon of cocoa powder to the pot while it simmers. It deepens the spice profile beautifully!"
