This hearty mix features aromatic jasmine rice seasoned with a vibrant blend of mixed bell peppers, thyme, and a hint of red pepper flakes for a gentle kick. It is a versatile, one-pan meal that perfectly captures the bold, savory essence of traditional Creole cooking.
You will need:

1 package Jambalaya mix

2 ½ cups water

1 (20 oz) can tomato sauce

1 ¼ cups cooked ham or smoked sausage

1 ¼ cups cooked shrimp (optional)
Cooking Instructions:

In a large skillet, combine the Jambalaya mix, water, and tomato sauce.

Bring the mixture to a boil over medium-high heat.

Reduce the heat to a simmer and stir in your cooked ham and/or sausage.

Cook for 20 minutes, stirring occasionally.

Note: If you are adding shrimp, stir them in during the last 5 minutes of cooking.

Remove and discard the bay leaves before serving.
