Bring the spirit of the bayou to your kitchen with our flavorful Jambalaya. This hearty mix features aromatic jasmine rice seasoned with a vibrant blend of mixed bell peppers, thyme, and a hint of red pepper flakes for a gentle kick. It is a versatile, one-pan meal that perfectly captures the bold, savory essence of traditional Creole cooking.

You will need:

  • 1 package Jambalaya mix

  • 2 ½ cups water

  • 1 (20 oz) can tomato sauce

  • 1 ¼ cups cooked ham or smoked sausage

  • 1 ¼ cups cooked shrimp (optional)

Cooking Instructions:

  1. In a large skillet, combine the Jambalaya mix, water, and tomato sauce.

  2. Bring the mixture to a boil over medium-high heat.

  3. Reduce the heat to a simmer and stir in your cooked ham and/or sausage.

  4. Cook for 20 minutes, stirring occasionally.

  5. Note: If you are adding shrimp, stir them in during the last 5 minutes of cooking.

  6. Remove and discard the bay leaves before serving.
